Noah Scurry, a member of the Samuel Fels basketball team, was shot multiple times on the morning of Jan. 14 Noah Scurry, a 17-year-old basketball star at his Philadelphia high school, died after he was shot on the way to school.

The boy was getting into a car to go to school at Samuel Fels High School with his mom Tuesday morning when he was shot, School District of Philadelphia spokesperson Monique Braxton said.

Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia that left a 17-year-old boy dead. Officers found the teen in an alley behind a house with multiple gunshot wounds.

The teenage boy who was shot and killed on Monday morning in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia was an academically accomplished student-athlete, his school said.
