One person has been injured after shots were fired at a car on the southbound 710 Freeway in East Los Angeles.

Two people in a Prius reported to CHP officers that they were hit by gunfire on the 710 Freeway at the 5 Freeway, as the suspects sped off. The victims drove themselves to the hospital and one of the men was treated for his gunshot wound.

Multiple bullets struck a Prius with two men inside, on the 710 Freeway near the 5 Freeway junction just after midnight.

Authorities are searching for whoever shot two people on the 710 Freeway during a suspected road rage incident in East Los Angeles early Wednesday morning. Authorities learned of the incident when two people inside a Toyota Prius arrived shortly after midnight at Los Angeles Community Hospital on Olympic Boulevard suffering from gunshot wounds.
